Dr Sophie Lynch is an experienced Sydney female Obstetrican and Gynaecologist with wide-ranging expertise in many areas including:

• Vaginal deliveries
• Management of healthy pregnancies
• Caesarean section deliveries
• Coping with the physical and emotional changes during pregnancy
• Preconception (Pregnancy Planning) assessment and advice
• High-risk pregnancy, including gestational diabetes, hypertension
• IVF pregnancies
• Management of pre-term labor
• Pregnancy with multiple babies (twins, etc)
• Vaginal Birth after Caesarean Section

 

Dr Lynch delivers babies at:

 

- North Shore Private Hospital in St Leonards

- The Mater Hospital in North Sydney.

 

Dr Lynch offers a personalised service, where the doctor you see for your antenatal visits will more than likely be the doctor who delivers your baby.   

 

Dr Lynch limits the number of confinements booked in order to make this possible.

 

Dr Lynch is on call for you via the Delivery Suite of your Hospital most weekends of the year.  You will not be joining a group where six or eight other doctors may actually be on call for your delivery when the time comes.

 

Dr Lynch has been in specialist full-time private practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1998 and is a foundation member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at North Shore Private Hospital.

 

Dr Lynch also practises general gynaecology, with particular interests including: 

• Colposcopy and the management of abnormal pap smear
